Recently, I have been contemplating Matthew 5:16 where the Bible says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.”  We are simply reflectors of the light, not the Source.  We are to “so shine” by letting the Lord thoroughly clean our lives so that His light can shine both in and through us as Christians!

Church Van

In October, God opened the doors for us to buy a 2nd church van.  What a blessing to have 2 working vans to use to bring children and young people to church!  Thank you for investing and continuing in prayer for the work of the Lord here in Tacna.

Prayer Update

Thank you to those of you who have been praying for  Estefani, the teenage girl in our church with meningitis.  She is home from the hospital now and recovering slowly. Please keep praying for her and for the salvation of her family.

Christmas Outreach

Please pray for a special Christmas outreach we are preparing for Sunday evening, December 17.  On this night, the children, young people, and adults will be presenting songs and a drama.  We ask that you pray that God would use the message given to bring souls to Him.

Christian School Project

During this past year we have been planning and praying towards opening a Christian school here in Tacna.  The need is great!  We are asking the Lord to provide the initial funds needed to begin, of which we currently have about 25%.  In the coming prayer letters we will give more specifics on items needed so that you can better pray for and give towards this project as the Lord should lead you.

Baptisms!

Sunday, October 29, 3 people followed the Lord in believer’s baptism- a young man, a teenage boy, and a little girl!  It is a joy to see them taking this important step of obedience.  Please pray for their continued growth and that others would also come to Christ.  In September, Sara had the opportunity to lead a young teenage girl to Christ for whom we have been praying for many months.  We are praying for her mother and other family members to also accept Christ.   O, that we would see people out of a sincere love for God being obedient to His precious Word!
